About Kouga Wilderness - Abseiling & Cliffhanging
Kouga Wilderness is a family run farm and the Ferreiras has been living on “Kleinrivier” since 1815. It is a working farm with apricots, citrus, sheep and vegetables. You can enjoy nature in the scenic Kouga mountains on the border of the Baviaanskloof World Heritage site.
From the beginner to the advanced, Kouga Wildernis offers a variety of abseiling, cliff hanging and rock climbing experiences for everyone. Abseiling is done on request and requires a minimum of 10 persons.

Beginners rock is 18 meters high. Abseiling is is done under the guidance of a professional abseil instructor. Equipment is provided.
Leopards rock is 80m high and overlooks the camping area. A ½ hour hiking trail leads to the top/bottom. It is suitable for the advanced abseiler and takes place under the guidance of a professional abseil instructor. Equipment is provided.
